  • The performance of Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) is a significant element of the physical rehabilitation process. ADLs comprise of basic meaningful tasks such as bathing, dressing, eating, and grooming; as well as representing more complex activities such as cooking, money management, and household maintenance chores. Along with its functional relevance, the engagement in meaningful activities can help facilitate the recovery process. To promote recovery following an injury, therapeutic interventions should be novel, engaging, and meaningful for the individual patient. ADLs can represent meaningful activities for individuals.
