Sports Park

Upper range of motion is the main focus in this rehabilitation therapy activity

Overview

  • Use for ADL training, promoting upper and lower arm ROM.

Patients feel competitive in their therapy while they work on dynamic postural control, visual recognition, and motor control

Chuckleball

Patient blocks Chuckleballs by blocking them with their hands or head, challenging reflexive movements, dynamic postural control, visual recognition, and motor control.

Work on trunk control and functional reach with this easy-to-use virtual activity

Chuckleball Arena

Designed to exercise trunk control and functional reach. Patient must defend their goal as a penguin tries to score with a Chuckleball. Using cognitive skills, the patient must predict trajectory and reach for a certain location to block and hit the Chuckleball into the opposing goal, or into other characters, to earn points.

This activity promotes functional reach and trunk stability with a focus on the core

Flying Fish

Facilitating trunk stability and functional reach, patients test their reactive movement by blocking blue fish with their hands or head or dodging red spiky fish.

Focus

Functional movement patterns, core strengthening, reactive movement
Sensors are provided to assist with virtual accuracy during the therapy session

Physical

  • Engage dynamic reaching and postural control

  • Suggest to patient to use a specific hand or use head to block balls if wanting to progress postural control/core stability when upper extremity ROM remains minimal

  • Create a competition of high scores between patients or the individual

  • Use instead of throwing/catching therapy balls

  • Suggest to patient to try to use head to hit blue fish if wanting to progress postural control/core stability when upper extremity ROM remains minimal

Cognitive

  • Test eye-hand coordination, reaction time, color differentiation, decision making, evoking movement by surprise for cerebellar functions

Adjustable Settings

Adjustable settings are designed to provide clinicians the freedom and flexibility to customize each session to meet an individual’s rehabilitation needs.
